History
The Australian treasure hunter Johnny Thunder (also known as Sam Grant and Joe Freeman in the UK and EU respectively) is the main protagonist of the LEGO Adventurers theme and leader of a team of explorers including journalist / photographer Gail Storm, archeologist / scientist Dr. Charles Lightning, and fearless pilot Harry Cane.
In the Desert Sub-Theme the crew is in search of the mysterious Re-Gou Ruby guarded by the reanimated mummy of Pharaoh Hotep. The adventure is a race against time to find the artifact before the greedy Baron von Barron and his villainous partner Sam Sinister can steal it for their private collection.
Johnny is afraid of snakes and scorpions.
His Desert attire consists of a brown Australian slouch hat, tan long sleeve double pocket shirt with open collar, red tied bandana, two thin leather straps (perhaps for some sort of pouch), black pants, and a revolver tucked into his belt.
This figure was included in set 5938 | Oasis Ambush and given to The Collector as a Christmas present in 1998.
