History

The Robber King (Also known as The Robber Chief) commands a group of rouge samurai and dark ninjas plotting to steal treasure from the great Shogun Gi-Dan and his samurai.

There is some ambiguity in the hierarchy of leadership of the bandits / robbers. Some cannon implies that The "Robber Chief" reports to Chief Kendo, while other sources indicate he himself to be a King[1]. The Collector feels that having a "Robber King" and therefore a "Bandit Chief" to carry out his orders makes for a better story.

The Robber King is featured in a 1998 Japanese commercial for the Ninja theme. The intro and outro of the thirty-second spot shows his regular head replaced with a minifigure skull. The reason for this is currently unclear. (Please contact us if translation provides any insight).

The King is equipped with a black samurai helmet, patched green vest over a red robe with a Tantō tucked into the waist belt.

This figure was included in set 4805 | Ninja Knights and purchased by The Collector with their allowance in 1999.
